The Supplemental Art Program is designed to supplement the Shannon County School District's art instruction. The program has two phases. Phase One involves two-dimensional art such as pencil sketches, pastels, and painting. Phase Two involves three-dimensional art such as sculpture, trash art, murals, and weaving. Download the Supplemental Art Program Letter (PDF).
Each school in the District has a competition and prizes are awarded to the school winners. Group projects in both phases are encouraged, but individual works may be submitted. Winners from each school receive prizes.
For winners from each school, an art show is held at the Crazy Horse Museum during the first week of May. Awards are given to overall winners in the District.
